Questions

The questions people ask most before they start, with straight answers.

What happens after I pay?

You receive a receipt and the next steps by email within a minute. Your consultant writes to you within one business day, books your first call, and messages you each time a government step is done.

Who will I actually deal with?

Marcia Dunkley Gabriel, from the first message to the last record. Her direct line is 289 921 0063 and her WhatsApp is 437 216 8365.

What if I do not hear back?

Call or send a WhatsApp message on the numbers on every page. If a step is delayed by a government office or a bank, we will tell you which one and what it is waiting for.

Can you guarantee my bank account will be opened?

No. Each bank runs its own checks and makes its own decision. We prepare the application and the documents the bank asks for and introduces you to suitable banks, but nobody can promise an approval.

Is the price really the total?

Yes. Each package shows our fee, the government fee at cost, and one total. No HST is added. The only extra you might see is a foreign-transaction fee from your own bank if you pay by card from outside Canada.

Can I get my money back?

Our fee is refunded in full until work begins. After that, it is refunded in proportion to the work not yet done. Government fees are refunded only if they have not yet been paid out. The full terms are on the terms page.

How do I know this is a real business?

The business behind this site is MDG Legal & Corporate Services, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. You can call us before you pay, and our payment details never change by message. If you ever receive a message saying they have, call her on 289 921 0063.

Do I need to live in Canada to own an Ontario company?

No. An Ontario corporation does not need a director who lives in Canada. It does need an address in Ontario for its registered office.

Can I own all of the company from outside Canada?

Yes, for most businesses. Owners abroad can hold 100% of the shares of an Ontario corporation. A few regulated sectors, such as banking and telecommunications, limit foreign ownership.

Does a company owned from abroad pay tax in Canada?

A company incorporated in Canada files a Canadian corporate tax return every year, wherever its owners live. How much tax it pays depends on where and how it earns its income, which is a question for an accountant. Marcia introduces one.

Why Ontario and not a federal company?

A federal company usually needs at least one director who lives in Canada. Most owners abroad start in Ontario for that reason, and an Ontario company can still trade across Canada.

Do I need to travel to Canada?

Not to set up the company. The articles are filed online. Some banks ask to meet you in person before they open an account, and we will tell you which before you apply.

Do I need an import and export licence?

Canada does not issue one general licence. A business needs a business number and an import-export account, both registered with the Canada Revenue Agency at no cost, and then registration on the CBSA's CARM portal. Some goods also need a permit, and Marcia will point you to the right office.

Can you help with immigration?

No. Immigration advice can only be given by a licensed immigration consultant or a lawyer. Setting up a company in Canada does not by itself give anyone the right to live or work here.

How do I send my documents?

Not through this website. After you start, we send you a private upload link. Copies of ID are deleted once the filing is done.

How do I pay?

Card and PayPal are being connected to this site. Until then, we email you a secure payment link after you start, and Canadian clients can pay by Interac e-Transfer. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
